About Us

We're Jess and Tim. And we have a jewelry problem.
It started with estate sales. Then auctions. Then the kind of antique shops where you have to move three oil paintings just to see what's behind them. Somewhere along the way, "hobby" became "obsession" became The Fancy Rat. We're not sorry about it.
We specialize in antique and estate fine jewelry — pieces with history, character, and the occasional mysterious provenance. Art Deco rings that survived the roaring twenties. Victorian lockets that once held someone's deepest secret. Edwardian brooches that deserve to be worn to brunch, not stored in a velvet box wondering what went wrong with their life.
We pick everything ourselves. Every piece gets examined, researched, and lived with for a little while before it finds its way to you. If we wouldn't wear it, we don't sell it. If we can't tell you something interesting about it, we find out. And if it's genuinely spectacular, we do briefly consider keeping it. (We don't keep it, mostly. But we think about it and on occasion, we do add it to our personal collections.)
What we believe
Jewelry should be worn, not preserved. The best piece isn't the most expensive one — it's the one that makes someone stop you on the street and ask where you got it. We're here to help you find that piece, whether you're a seasoned collector with opinions about hallmarks or someone who just fell down a very sparkly rabbit hole for the first time.
We also believe that buying jewelry shouldn't feel like a test you haven't studied for. No intimidating expertise, no hushed tones, no pressure. Browse, ask questions, geek out about the difference between Art Nouveau and Art Deco with us. We genuinely love this stuff and we'll talk about it for as long as you'll let us.
Every piece we sell has a past. We think it should have a future too — worn, loved, maybe passed down someday to whoever inherits your taste. That's the whole point.
A note on our name
Yes, we know. You can read about that in our "What's In a Name" section.
